Story boarding is the first step in this animation scripts are written between pictures and words after that second step is voice –recording voice are recorded according to the layouts of characters voice should match with the character it must not create any defect between soundtracks & characters third step is called Animatic in This process before the animation begins animatic view is being done with the characters  which are matched with soundtrack so that any problem generate regarding storyboarding can be correct .it depends on directors he used to correct changes till the storyboarding get it best after that fourth step is designing & timing once the animatics has been permitted it pass to the designing department designing department prepare a modal sheet for each and every character it shows how a character or object looked from different angles then it passes to the timing department timing department sets the timing according to the movement of  characters fifth step is called layouting it is also called as cinematography in this layout designer just set  camera angles, camera paths, lighting, and shading of the scenes.

After that Sixth step is giving animation when final animatics is approved a key animator starts animation by drawing sequence of images frame by frame on a transparent sheet of paper which is fitted with peg bars so that drawing must be in it place a key animator will draw different key frames in a scene by using different characters layouts until the scene is not completed while working on a scene a key animator do a pencil test in which drawing are quickly photographed & scanned with the soundtrack so that any necessary changes can be done before during pencil animation approve art is spliced into the leica reel this process is same for character animation special effect animation then it passes to the assistant directors.  Inbetweeners will draw frames which are missing through animation this process is also called tweening. In the seventh step background artist create a different background which is best suitable to the action of each frame. Water colours, acrylic paint, oilpaints, are used for creating backgrounds when all these steps are completed.

Final touch is given the completed character cells they are photographed in a sequence one by one on to the motion picture film against a painted background with the rostrum cameras.
